Why visit the Soller Botanical Gardens?
The Botanical Gardens are an affordable, enjoyable way to spend a family day in Soller. There are a number of guided tours available, or you can take your time to wonder around the expansive gardens at your own pace. You can discover flora and fauna endemic to the Balearics, as well as many other plants, herbs and flowers that hail from nearby, elsewhere in the Mediterranean. In the heart of the gardens lies the old Camp d’En Prohom house, which is now used as the base of the horticultural society “Fundació Jardí Botànic de Sóller.” This was founded in 1997, and assists with research and studies pertaining to the botany of Mallorca. The gardens themselves were founded in 1985, and opened to the public seven years later. Today, they are one of the top ten attractions in Soller, presenting visitors with a wide selection of local plant species as well as spectacular layout and scenery.
The gardens are located on the outskirts of Soller, and can be easily accessed by car from a stay in one of our luxury villas. There are discounts available for group bookings, and kids under six visit for free.
